Excellent training with distinction

As an established training company, we are among the most successful companies in our chamber district. We offer a well-founded apprenticeship with in-depth expertise and extensive experience. The fact that our apprentices regularly rank among the top performers of their year confirms the quality of our work.

A visible sign of this commitment is the award of the Karl-Friedrich-Nebenius Medal by the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) to our owner and managing director, Mario Grundmann. This award recognizes his many years of service as an examiner on IHK examination boards and his contribution to ensuring high training standards.

Graduated with flying colors

After 3.5 years of apprenticeship, Daniel passed his examination to become a CNC machinist with flying colors. The practical examination, administered by the examination board, took place over two days in our production facility. The examination was conducted in the real-world work environment of daily operations.

The profession of CNC machinist has its roots in classic turning and milling and is one of the most demanding industrial professions. To this day, it combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technology. Technical understanding, spatial reasoning, and meticulous work are crucial. Precision is achieved through experience, knowledge of materials, and attention to detail.

This breadth of capabilities is reflected in our manufacturing facility. At PHOS Production, a workshop area, conventional milling and turning machines, as well as CNC and CNC technology, operate in parallel. This allows us to produce individual pieces as well as large series.

Daniel will remain part of our team, contributing his training and further developing his skills. The picture shows his immediate colleagues and instructors. An environment where knowledge is passed on and craftsmanship is valued.

Honoring the year's top performers

Training: Awarded as best of the year

At this year's annual awards ceremony of the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), two PHOS trainees were honored: Steven, who successfully completed his apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, and Luis, who completed his advanced training as a certified specialist, were among the top graduates of 2025. PHOS Design was also recognized for its exceptional commitment to training. Almost half of the team consists of former trainees – some now in management positions. This continuity demonstrates that training at PHOS offers long-term prospects and genuine development opportunities.

PHOS as a training company: Baden-Württemberg State Trainer Award

With the State Trainer Award, the state of Baden-Württemberg honours companies that provide young people with more than just a profession - namely prospects, responsibility and personal development. The aim is to recognise those who train with conviction and pedagogical sensitivity and pass on their experience with commitment.

PHOS did not receive the award this year - but we are keeping at it. After all, training is more than just an obligation for us: it is part of our corporate culture. Almost half of our team comes from our own apprenticeships or student traineeships. Three former trainees are now in management positions. Three year-end graduates, two qualified specialists - this is the result of consistently promoting young talent in-house.

Apprenticeship - PHOS trainee is the 1st businesswoman in e-commerce

We are delighted to welcome our first graduate in the newly created apprenticeship programme for e-commerce clerks. Our trainee Pia was the only one of the first year of the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce to successfully complete her training ahead of schedule. "I am very happy to have completed my training successfully and quickly. Training to become an e-commerce clerk is versatile, future-orientated and a good alternative to studying," says Pia.

Training: Honouring the best of the year

We were once again recognised for our training this year. Luis completed his apprenticeship as an e-commerce clerk with a grade of 1 and was invited by the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce to the gala ceremony for the best apprentices of the year. In addition to being honoured and receiving a further training bonus, Luis will take on a position of responsibility and complete further training immediately afterwards. We are proud that we have once again been honoured as a training company.

Our trainees once again achieved excellent results in this year's IHK final examinations. Industrial clerks Henry and Regina completed their training with grades 1 and 2. Henry was honoured as one of the best of the year.
